Two song cycles by Julius Röntgen first published after eighty years.
The NMI preserves the legacy of composer Julius Röntgen (1855-1932). Because of the stature of his works, the NMI has embarked on a project of publishing Röntgen compositions in its chamber music series. In 2008 two phenomenal cycles for voice and piano were issued: Galgenlieder and Palmström, written in 1916 and 1924 on texts of the German poet Christian Morgenstern (1871-1914).Available in the webshop.
