Return

Publications on loan should be returned on the due date at the latest. If returned by mail, materials should be carefully wrapped. Any risk of damage or loss during delivery is the borrower's responsibility. On request, we will provide you with a delivery receipt.

Fines & damages

In case the loan period is exceeded, the borrower will be sent a (first) reminder by email. If there is no reaction to this reminder, a second reminder will be sent out after one week. If there is no response to this, the borrowing rights will be blocked and a fine will be imposed of € 4,50 per publication. You will be notified of this through a third reminder. The borrower's rights will only be reinstated after delivery of the publication(s) and payment of the fine(s). If the NMI has to replace a book not returned, the borrower will be held liable for all costs involved. The costsill be at least € 49,50 per publication.
