Study Room and Reading Room
In the NMI Reading Room you will find reference works, serial music publications and journals. These parts of the collection are freely accessible with a Reading Room pass. The major part of the collections is kept under climate control in depot. With a valid year pass you can order these materials and in many cases borrow them. The Reading Room is open Tuesday till Friday 10.00 till 17.00.
Archive materials and special library materials can be consulted in the Study Room (by appointment only).
Membership
Everyone is welcome to visit the NMI. The NMI gives access to the musical heritage of the Netherlands. Some services are freely available through this website. With a year pass or a reading room pass you have more options.
Borrow and renew
If you have a valid year pass, you can order publications from the depot through the catalogue, make reservations and in many cases borrow books. For special collections different access conditions apply.Renewal, prolongation, annulment
